Tapping Method for Health

I think that someone up there must have realised I might need some help to quit sugar, because in the last 24 hours I’ve had two world leading holistic experts getting in touch to offer me help!  Multi award winning Paul Emery, Founder of QEPR offered some tapping techniques to assist with withdrawal from sugar. You’ll find Paul traversing the globe, offering his therapies to super models and high fliers alike. He works in some of the world’s finest luxury wellness resorts, helping people to lose bad habits and live with more balance and joy.

Using Tapping to Quit Sugar

Thought Field Therapy, developed by Roger Callahan, involves tapping meridian points in the upper body with the aim of healing a variety of mental and physical ailments. Paul is one of the world’s leading experts in this field.

A commonly effective sequence for sugary cravings and any associated anxiety is described as follows:

  1. SIDE OF THE HAND (KARATE CHOP POINT)
  2. UNDER THE EYE (ON THE BONE RIDGE BELOW THE PUPIL)
  3. UNDER THE ARM APPROX 10CMS (LEVEL WITH A BRA STRAP)
  4. UNDER THE COLLARBONE (JUST BELOW IN THE SOFT INDENTS NEXT TO THE BREASTBONE)

Tap each point firmly, but gently, with 3 or more fingers approx x10 in sequence. Continue with the sequence for approx 3 minutes or so until the sugary craving disappears!

Think about why you want to quit sugar whilst tapping

Importantly – whilst tapping you must think about the craving, the sweetness of sugar, or a sugary product – cake, chocolate etc. I’m giving it a try and will let you all know if I feel any marked difference over the coming days. Emotionally today has been a bit up and down but I certainly haven’t been as hungry today. I’m sure nobody is missing yet another food shot, my dinner tonight; organic chicken, sweet potato and carrot mash, green beans, sweetcorn and peas.

I’m excited to say that I have the excellent Nutritionist Eve Persak on tomorrow’s blog, giving me her tips on withdrawing from refined sugars.
