Amanoi is an exclusive, beachside resort on the dramatic coastline of Vietnam’s Vinh Hy Bay, near Nha Trang. It’s around one hour’s scenic drive away from Cam Ranh airport. Designed with a contemporary twist on traditional Vietnamese abodes, Amanoi plays host to luxury villas, guest pavilions and premier residences, surrounded by Núi Chúa National Park. It has a beautiful, lotus-covered lake with a sublime yoga pavilion, two Spa houses and a private beach club.Â
Amanoi Stress Relief and Mindfulness retreats guide you to a deep state of relaxation through mindful movement, holistic Spa treatments and meditation. In the daily group movement classes, you’ll learn Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Yoga to balance and holistic Spa treatments include acupressure and energy healing Reiki. You’ll also learn to cultivate mindfulness whilst practising Tai Chi, a moving meditation and guided meditation together.Â
If you’re feeling like there’s no ‘off’ button and you’re overloaded with stress, these Stress Relief and Mindfulness Retreats are the perfect way to reconnect to what’s important and learn some valuable ways in which you can deal with everyday stress back home. They are not too spiritual, so if you prefer practical tips, this will suit you. It’s also easy to do this if you’re traveling with family, you don’t necessarily need a solo experience at Aman, as the kids and your partner have lots to amuse themselves too! Â
Amanoi Stress Relief and Mindfulness Retreats in Vietnam are personal journeys into a state of deep relaxation. These days it’s really difficult to find an ‘off’ switch at the end of the day. Stress builds up and can affect us both physically and emotionally. Issues become overwhelming and a night’s sleep just doesn’t seem to make a difference. It really is essential to understand stress management techniques to allow you to live a more balanced and healthier lifestyle and that’s where Aman step in.
Highly personalised to each individual, your Stress Relief vacation will begin with an Oriental Lifestyle consultation, to understand where you’re at. You’ll have a specific Stress Management program designed from that, which will include daily, group movement classes, holistic Spa treatments and specialist sessions such as guided meditation.
Tai Chi is otherwise known as a ‘moving meditation’. An ancient Chinese martial art, Tai Chi’s graceful movements allow life force energy or Qi to flow freely through the body. This aids health and calms the mind. Yoga similarly allows for increased flexibility and balances both the body and mind. Qi Gong is a blend of movement, breath work and massage, which releases tension and calms the mind. It can also assist with hormone balance and lymphatic flow.
Amanoi holistic Spa treatments focus on the inner self with Reiki, a healing method of harnessing universal energy, releasing trauma and boosting the immune system. It might sound a bit wacky, but try it (we’re Reiki converts!). Finally, mindfulness is of course, the new black, but what really does that mean? Mindfulness is not just staying still and trying to remove all thoughts (which is nearly impossible by the way). It’s learning how to stay in the present moment and appreciate what is occurring right now. Guided meditations will help you to still your ‘monkey mind’ and allow thoughts to pass by you for a moment, without reaction. It’s then that we feel at peace.
Top Tip: Combine a stay at Amanoi with Stress Relief with Amanpuri in Phuket, Thailand, where you can continue with a Mental Awareness program or relax with the family.
