Kamalaya

Kamalaya holds a special place in our hearts. Resting on a gently sloping hill in Koh Samui in Thailand, the resort faces a powdery, white sand beach and turquoise ocean ahead. Built with love by John and Karina Stewart, this luxury health resort was originally famed for its amazing detox holidays and grew to offer authentic yoga retreats by the sea, weight loss and fitness retreats and relaxing Spa holidays.

Kamalaya’s villas and suites encircle an ancient meditation cave, once inhabited by Buddhist monks. There are lots of luxury accommodation options, from the entry level Hillside Rooms (preferably with sea view!), through to the Beachside Pool Villas and Penthouse Pool Suites. The resort has a gorgeous swimming pool and several plunge pools, steam caverns, an air-conditioned fitness gym and yoga facilities. Wellness guests can join in daily holistic activities in addition to their wellness programs and these include group yoga, meditation Qi Gong, life talks and more.

As digital connectivity grew and stress levels increased, Kamalaya responded with luxury wellness programs in stress management and sleep enhancement. As we began to explore the inner mind, with meditation and self-healing, they launched their ‘Embracing Change’ program and Karina’s own wellbeing retreat ‘Awakening Your Essential Self’.
