Make January 2015 count with luxury Detox Holidays
8 Sep, 2014
There’s something about beginning a New Year that really makes you feel like you have another crack at the whip. Life that is. After the excesses of the festive season, we can all feel a little sluggish and guilt ridden. What better way to begin January 2015 than by joining one of our luxury detox holidays. Asia is the perfect place to cleanse your system of toxins, whilst feeling pampered in the process and here at Soul Sanctuaries, we make it our job to source the best cleanse programs with expert practitioners across Asia.
So what should you expect from a detox retreat?
If you’re new to detox, its not all about fasting. If we think an introduction detox program would suit you, you might head off to a beachside luxury health spa in Thailand to enjoy healthy detox cuisine, recieve holistic therapies care of resident Naturopaths and join yoga classes overlooking the sea.
If you’re an experienced detox participant, wanting a really amazing experience, we might suggest a holistic cleanse in India based on the principles of Tibetan healing. You could be learning to practice Gom, a Tibetan meditative practice to develop mindfulness, insight and wellbeing. Add in some therapeutic massages or ayuvedic healing treatments and you’ll feel like a lighter being back in the real world.
The period before and post detox is really important. A Pre-Cleanse involves making minor changes to your diet, by removing heavy, acid forming foods and replacing them with foods which are light, cleansing and alkaline.
